Flash Bum
Flash Bum is a culmination of all of my skills. From writing to photography, videography, design, branding, and programming. Each element is brought together to tell the life of a homeless web designer who couldn’t get back on his feet after the 90’s Internet crash. I uses absurdity to shed light on how similar freelance Flash Designers are to homeless people; always looking for work, trying to stay ahead, and never stopping, always pushing towards the next project wherever it is. Flash Bum also expresses my own fears of another Internet crash and questions job security in general, not just in the volatile Web Design Industry. Flash Bum also represents a benchmark in pushing Flash to its sheer technical limits. The 3d world that represents FlashBum.com has video, photos, and interactive 3d trash to display moments in time from the homeless web designer’s documentary “Will Flash 4 Food.”
